Biography
In 1981 guitarist Jim Jones — a fixture of the Cleveland scene with earlier tenures in the Electric Eels and the Styrenes — launched the local post-punk outfit the Easter Monkeys. The roster was rounded out by ex-Kneecappers vocalist Chris Yarmock, bassist Charlie Ditto, and drummer Linda Hudson; the group folded in 1984, and the posthumous collection Splendor of Sorrow appeared four years afterward. Jones later resurfaced in the reformed Pere Ubu.
