Swedish hard rock outfit Easy Action came together in the early 1980s. Its founding roster featured Zinny J. Zan (b. Bo Stagman, Sweden; vocals), Kee Marcello (b. Kjell Hilding Lövbom, 20 February 1960, Ludvika, Sweden; guitar), Danny Wilde (guitar), Alex Tyrone (b. Peo Thyren; bass), and Freddie Von Gerber (drums). The group issued its first recording, a self-titled set drawing chiefly from US radio rock, in 1983. Sire Records soon licensed the album, which resurfaced the next year under a fresh sleeve and revised song order; Chris Lynn (b. Christoffer Lind, Sweden) appeared in place of Wilde. Weak sales prompted Sire to drop the act, after which it signed with independent KGR Records and brought Tommy Nilsson (b. 11 March 1960, Sweden) aboard to fill the vacancies left by Zan and Tyrone. That Makes One (1986) incorporated fresher touches reminiscent of Hanoi Rocks’ sleaze rock, yet the collection never coalesced with the same force as the debut. Marcello’s departure for platinum-selling Europe effectively ended the band’s first run. In 2006, Marcello and Zan reactivated Easy Action for festival appearances and studio work on a fresh album.
