Biography
The French trio Eat-Girls crafts eerie, intimate compositions built on atmospheric guitars, drum machine rhythms, and ghostly vocals. Dub, Krautrock, post-punk, and minimal wave elements converge in their work, which reached listeners with the 2024 debut album Area Silenzio.
Amélie Guillon and Elisa Artero, both from Lyon, began writing material together inside their apartment during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown. A handmade four-song EP soon appeared and sold out. Maxence Mesnier joined as the third member once the project moved to live performance. Early shows included bills with Thalia Zedek and the Young Gods, followed by the release of the EP Windowsill/Eggs in 2021. After inking a deal with German label Bureau B, Eat-Girls issued Area Silenzio in 2024, yielding a murkier, more detached sound than their prior recordings had suggested.
