Biography
Hailing from Canada, R&B vocalist and composer Ebrahim Lakhani—whose lineage connects to Afghanistan and Pakistan—first honed his craft by singing on neighborhood sidewalks. During his early twenties he partnered with Ryan Barbaza, Evan Chan, and Francis Garcia to launch the writing-and-production firm Extra Medium Sound, where they also laid down his debut album. In 2008 that same artist received a Juno Award nomination.
