Biography
Renowned as a "song interpreter," Ed maintains a separate career as a professor of psychology. He seeks out concealed meanings in songs and renders them with interpretations that lend fresh significance to longstanding material. Most often accompanying himself on guitar in a soft vocal style, he also plays piano with notable skill. Although he declines to call himself a "professional" musician, his command of the craft meets that standard in full. The recordings he has made alone, in collaboration with Anne Mayo Muir and Gordon Bok, and alongside other artists stand among the most beautiful ever committed to tape.
