Of Latin American descent, Eddie Amador came into the world and spent his formative years in the Southwest U.S. Latin music, smooth soul, and post-disco formed his earliest musical touchstones. Throughout the 1980s he began working the turntables at hip-hop parties. The house-driven club culture that swept through the early 1990s, however, proved irresistible. After completing a mechanical engineer degree at Arizona State University, Eddie Amador relocated to Los Angeles, CA, in 1996. His debut single, the aptly titled “House Music,” soon established itself as an underground dancefloor anthem and was selected for release on Deep Dish’s Yoshitoshi label in both the U.S. and Europe. In 1999 the German chart-topping, U.K. Top 20 follow-up “Rise” arrived.
