El Chivo

El Chivo, born Eduardo Garcia in Iramuco, Guanajuato, Mexico, emerged as a Mexican-American rapper based in Milwaukee, WI, where he pursues both a solo career and membership in the group Kinto Sol alongside his brother DJ Payback. At thirteen he arrived in the United States with his family, who settled in Milwaukee in pursuit of improved prospects. His entry into rap traces partly to that same older brother, DJ Payback, whose work encompasses both deejaying and production. Along with rapper Skribe, who also serves as CEO of Virus Enterprises, the siblings assembled the Latino rap outfit Kinto Sol, whose releases span Kinto Sol (2000), Del Norte al Sur (2001), Hecho en Mexico (2003), La Sangre Nunca Muere (2005), Los Hijos del Maiz (2007), and 15 Rayos (2007). Though he began as an auxiliary participant, El Chivo soon assumed a central position within the ensemble. His solo debut arrived in 2002 with Watchate con los Topes, and the follow-up Si Ladran No Muerden!! appeared in 2004. Cicatrices, his third album, came out in 2008.
