Biography
Formed in Mexico as a Latin pop quartet, El Círculo launched their recording career with the album Murió El Silencio. Fronted by Miguel Islas, previously of Ragazzi, and Patricio Lomelin, who performs under the name Pato, the group supplied a cover of Los Angeles Negros’ “Dejenme Si Estoy Llorando” to the Piedras Verdes movie soundtrack. Sony Music issued their 2001 release Sabroso, produced by Alejandro Marcovich and spotlighting the track “El Sirenito,” which reworked Rigo Tovar’s “La Sirenita.”
