Biography
El Matador emerged as one of Marseilles' most recognized MCs among French rappers throughout the 2000s. His debut hit single, "Génération Wesh Wesh," originated on the Taxi 4 soundtrack and paved the way for even broader visibility in 2007 via the video for A Armes Egales, which drew on imagery from the movie 300 and to whose French soundtrack he contributed a track. Both singles appeared on his 2007 LP, Parti de Rien, establishing it as one of that year's standout French rap releases.
