Biography
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Elaine Lachica is the daughter of the choir director and organist at the Baltimore Basilica. Music captured her attention by age three, when she began singing along with lessons on piano and violin. Vocal studies followed at the Peabody Conservatory of Music and the Royal College of Music in London. Although she appeared as soprano soloist with the New York Collegium, Waverly Consort, and Rebel Baroque Orchestra, she later embraced popular music, issuing her first two albums, 9 (2002) and Apolune (2005), on her own. Stunning Models on Display then released her third album, I Think I Can See the Ocean, on February 23, 2010.
