elodieO, the French electro-pop performer who handles vocals, songwriting, arrangements, and instrumentation, maintains her base in New York City. She entered the world as Elodie Ozanne in Paris, France, and relocated to New York City in 1996 after securing a scholarship. One year afterward she formed the trip-hop duo Elm alongside Manuel Bienvenu, who remained in Paris. The considerable distance across the Atlantic did not prevent the pair from issuing two full-length albums, Elm in 1998 and Sunny Scenics in 2002, plus multiple tracks on compilations. Once Elm disbanded, elodieO launched her solo work with a self-titled ten-track album in 2004, which was later trimmed to a six-track EP for its 2006 reissue. Stubborn, her next full-length album, appeared in 2008.
