Biography

In the early 2000s Detroit-area artist Jim Konen pursued numerous endeavors, yet none matched the atmospheric introspection of his EM project. The first EM outing, Expidite Music, “expedited” an assortment of emotional tones across nine tracks by fusing exotic worldbeat-style sounds with ambient electronica. A comparable follow-up, EM/2, added dancefloor-style grooves while also presenting the three-song 9/11 trilogy “DUDA,” “911,” and “Aftermath.”
