Biography
New York singer-songwriter Emily Angell absorbed early influences from the Beatles, Amy Grant, and Christina Aguilera, then traveled to the Big Apple in 2004 to study music and recording at City College of New York’s Sonic Arts Center. She issued her six-track debut EP, The Upset, independently in 2011; the collection blends the wide-eyed wonder of Taylor Swift with the smooth, soulful folk-pop of Colbie Caillat and Jason Mraz.
