Referencing an eclectic mix of inspirations that includes John Mayer, Katie Melua, Frank Ocean, Childish Gambino, and Zara Larsson, she issued her debut single, the soulful electro-pop slow jam "Closer," in early 2017 and followed it later that March with a cover of the 1975's "Somebody Else."
