Albania’s Enca Haxhia, performing under the shorter stage name Enca, works as a vocalist whose striking visual presentation and sultry, rhythm-driven pop have drawn widespread notice. She entered the world as Ruensa Haxhiaj in Tirana, Albania, during 1995 and first reached listeners by uploading cover versions to assorted social-media outlets. Momentum gathered near 2012 after she appeared with rapper Big Basta on the broadcast singing contest Kënga Magjike. Additional televised spots came afterward, accompanied by a few original releases. The decisive moment arrived in 2014, when the single “A po t'pëlqen” achieved widespread online circulation. Four Zhurma Show Awards followed in 2016, among them “Best Pop” and “Best Female,” both tied to her track “Dreq.”
