Endon, the Japanese outfit known as decibel-shredders, characterize their approach as "catastrophic noise-metal" while delivering on the promise through an unrelenting barrage of sonic hostility that fuses punk, experimental rock, metal, spaghetti Western motifs, and electronicore into one corrosive auditory storm. Long tagged as "the most extreme act in Tokyo," the band—led by the volatile frontman Taichi Nagura—unveiled its first full-length release, Mama, in 2015. Kurt Ballou, the noted producer and Converge guitarist, was brought in to shape the follow-up, which surfaced two years later under the title Through the Mirror.
