Biography
Hailing from New Zealand, Enemy surfaced as a little-known punk band in the closing years of the 1970s. Within their native country the ensemble earned its main recognition through the singles “Punks Alive” and “Fallen Hero.” Their first full-length album, Gateway to Hell, appeared in 1983; although copies grew scarce over the following decades, the set resurfaced on CD with ten bonus tracks, many of them uncommon singles. The 1990s also brought two live albums drawn from May 1978 performances—Pull Down the Shades and Iggy Told Me.
