Biography
Formed by Vancouver residents Jay Arner and Jessica Delisle, Energy Slime emerged as their lo-fi pop project after the pair started composing tracks together in their residence amid routine television sessions. Written, tracked, and blended in rapid succession, the resulting material sits looser than Arner’s gauzy synth pop yet carries the same hazy whimsy. The act first appeared publicly in January 2014 through the video for “Bustin’ Up,” then issued its official debut that November: the ten-track, 13-minute collection New Dimensional.
