Biography
The Epoxies channel a high-voltage strain of punk laced with unmistakable new wave and pop currents across their catalog of charged releases. Assembled in Portland, OR, in 2000, the five-piece unit is fronted by vocalist Roxy Epoxy and rounded out by Shock Diode on bass, Viz Spectrum on guitar, Doctor Grip on drums, and Moxie Static on keyboards and vocals. Their opening single “We Are Sold Out,” issued on Seattle-based Dirtnap Records, highlighted the band’s inventive flair and fearless material, clearing the route for a debut album. That self-titled full-length arrived in March 2002, again on the Dirtnap imprint, extending the group’s reach in the punk scene well past Oregon. Stop the Future followed on Fat Wreck in May 2005. Metropolis Records claimed the band in 2007 and unveiled the EP My New World that August.
