Biography
Hailing from Tampa, Florida, Erick Brian Colón injects reggaeton and bachata flavors into his work as one of five members in the Latin boy band CNCO. The Cuban-born vocalist first entered the spotlight during the 2015 season of the Spanish-language talent show La Banda, where viewer votes rescued him and positioned him as the fourth addition to the eventual lineup. During solo rounds he delivered personalized takes on Maluma's "La Temperatura," Pablo Arias' "Cuando Me Enamoro," Yandel's "Calentura," and J Balvin's hits "Ay Vamos" and "Tranquila," as well as a mash-up pairing Yandel's "Hable de Ti" with Swedish House Mafia's "Don't You Worry Child." Once CNCO claimed the competition title, the group secured a deal with Sony Music Latin and issued its debut single "Tan Facil." Colón later joined his CNCO bandmates to lay down their first album, shaped by Ricky Martin's oversight and Wisin's production.
