Biography
Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Erik Larson launched his professional journey during the initial years of the 1990s by taking on drumming duties in the regional hardcore band Avail. Following the completion of four records alongside that ensemble, he opted in 1998 to change both his chosen instrument and artistic path, opting instead for guitar and establishing the stoner rock outfit Alabama Thunderpussy. In the subsequent five years, Larson issued his debut solo effort, The Resounding, via Small Stone Records, where he handled the majority of the musical parts on his own.
