Biography
After studying at Durham University, Bullock held organist posts at multiple cathedrals prior to his appointment in 1928 as organist and Master of the Choristers at Westminster Abbey. From that position he supplied music for the 1937 coronation of King George VI and again for the 1953 coronation of Queen Elizabeth. Later he served as Gardiner Professor of Music at Glasgow University and as director of the Royal College of Music while remaining active as an adjudicator and administrator.
