Biography
Eternal Suffering emerged from Kingston, Massachusetts, and released only one album, Drowning in Tragedy, in 1999. The record presented brutal death metal in the vein of Suffocation or Nile, after which the group faded from view with almost no remaining evidence of its presence. Roots for the project actually traced back to 1994, when the members first assembled and later captured a 1997 demo on tape. The eventual lineup of vocalist Wayne Sarantopoulos, guitarists Chris Glover and Brian Evans, bassist Jon Landolfi, and drummer Chad Connell finally tracked the LP, an effort that served as both the band’s introduction and its final statement in the scene.
