Biography
In 1967 three leading Vancouver, BC recording artists—Tom Northcott, Howie Vickers of the Collectors, and Susan Pesklevitz, later a member of the Poppy Family—joined forces briefly as the Eternal Triangle to record a pair of songs, “It’s True” backed with “Watch Me Go,” for the weekly television program Let’s Go. The two numbers first appeared together on the Syndrome label; shortly afterward the single was reissued on Northcott’s own New Syndrome imprint, this time pairing the original A-side with the newly added B-side “My New Love.” Propelled by crisp, percussive chords, that track delivers dark folk-rock whose atmosphere recalls San Francisco’s sound from the preceding summer, leaning closer to the Mystery Trend than to the Vejtables. It can be found on the 1991 compilation History of Vancouver Rock and Roll, Volume 4 (VRCA 004).
