Euphon

Hailing from East Harlem, the duo Euphon is formed by Mr. Fantastik and Slim Pikins. Euphon takes its name from euphony, meaning pleasing or sweet sounds, and delivers a varied mix of jazz, funk, soul, and hip-hop frequently likened to the Native Tongues aesthetic of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The act’s first EP, Euphonics, appeared in 2003; Euphonics Redefined followed in 2006, and A Brief History of the Future arrived in 2007.
