Biography
Bassist Ean Evans of Lynyrd Skynyrd and keyboardist Bobby Capps of .38 Special established the hard rock duo EvansCapps as a side project after crossing paths on a combined 2003 tour by the two bands. Evans, who had belonged to Lynyrd Skynyrd since 2001, joined forces with Capps, a .38 Special member since 1999, to record the album Last Time, issued digitally in 2005. Evans learned of his cancer diagnosis in late 2008 and died on May 6, 2009, at age 48. Rock Ridge Music put out a CD edition of Last Time on May 12, 2009, after the material was remixed and partly re-recorded with four new tracks added.
