Biography
On the Rutgers University campus, singer/bassist Ed Yoo joined guitarists Reef Fanous and Mark Sanderlin plus drummer Matt Lewis to establish the Jersey Shore power-pop quartet Evelyn Forever. Securing an ongoing showcase slot at Asbury Park’s storied venue the Saint, the group became the first signing to the fledgling local indie Airplay in 1997, which released their acclaimed debut LP Nightclub Jitters that year. Their contribution to the Del-Fi compilation International Pop Overthrow came before the 1998 arrival of Evelyn Forever’s sophomore record, Lost in the Supermarket. Good to Be Alive followed three years later.
