Biography
After the 1970 dissolution of Stitch in Tyme, singer and guitarist Bruce Wheaton relocated to Toronto to assemble Everyday People. The lineup he assembled featured singer Pamela Marsh, keyboardist David Hare, guitarist Christ Paputts, bassist Carson Richards, and drummer Alan Muggeridge. Over the group’s brief existence the musicians issued several hit singles plus a lone full-length release, the self-titled 1971 LP, before fading from view.
One year after the band’s formation, Everyday People secured a contract with GRT Records. Throughout 1971 they cut additional singles, among them “I Get the Feeling” and “You Make Me Wonder.” The ensemble disbanded shortly thereafter, although most of its members continued working in music through projects that included the Fun Guys, A Positive Outlook, the British Are Coming, and Molly Oliver.
