Evlov

Robert Alexander, an electronic producer, DJ, and graphic designer based in Southern California, operates the cinematic and stylistically expansive project Evlov. The music merges ambient, IDM, acoustic, downbeat, new age, post-rock, and healing-oriented electronic textures with mindfulness-focused rhythms. His debut Evlov album, 21st Century Flow, came out on LifeRhythms Records in 2015. From his home in Ventura, Alexander draws on an eclectic list of touchstones such as Cinematic Orchestra, Underworld, Bonobo, Ben Harper, Tosca, and Groove Armada. The 2016 EP Patience, Tolerance, & Love arrived next, followed in short order by Modern Ritual and Essence on Bass Star; OvniMoon Records later handled the worldwide release of Essence in 2017. LifeRhythms Records issued Yoga Lounge (Contemporary Flow) in 2018. Alexander also launched the mindfulness-oriented music company LifeRhythms during this span and began putting out meditative singles and short-form albums including “Guided Visualization to Reclaim Your Essence,” “Peaceful Rest During Cosmic Transition,” and “Ground: Immersion 1.0 (Sonic Journey).”
