Biography
At just twelve years of age, California's Evren Ozan received the Davidson Fellow in Music honor from the Davidson Institute for Talent Development. A prodigy on the Native American flute, he first encountered the instrument during a family vacation and, at six, used several weeks of his allowance to purchase one at a shop near the Grand Canyon. His debut album, Images of Winter, appeared in 2001 when he was seven, and by year's end he performed as a featured artist at the Native American Music Awards. The same event later nominated his 2003 release, As Things Could Be, for Best Instrumental and Best New Age. A southern California resident, he has appeared in National Geographic's World magazine and The New Age Journal while touring the U.S. and Europe.
