Biography
Among Immediate Records' roster of acts, Excelsior Spring ranked among the least prominent, issuing just one single titled "Happy Miranda" b/w "It". The pop-rock trio included Mike Finesilver, who later appeared on Heron's Twice As Nice album from 1972. Occasional support bookings at the Marquee Club came their way throughout 1969, the same year they cut material for Instant Records, Immediate's short-lived experimental imprint. Both tracks from the single subsequently surfaced on a compilation issued by Immediate Records.
