Biography
Exxon Valdez emerged as a Spanish rock outfit when José Antonio García, the former vocalist of 091, teamed with bassist Angel Doblas, while ex-T.N.T. members guitarist Jesus Arias and drummer Joaquín Vilchez completed the initial roster; ex-Canker guitarist Ramón Astorga later rounded out the group. The name references the tanker that triggered one of the worst major ecological disasters ever by spilling oil on Alaska's coast in 1989. Eclipse marked the band's first release.
