Biography
SoCal punks F-Minus originally featured singer/guitarist Brad Logan alongside guitarist Sarah Lee, bassist Jennifer Johnson, and drummer Chris Lagerborg. The quartet launched their recording career in 1998 via two separate 7" EPs—Hellcat’s Failed Society and Pelado Records’ Won’t Bleed Me—that together contained nineteen tracks. Entering the studio next with Rancid’s Tim Armstrong at the helm, the band replaced Lee with guitarist Erica Daking and Lagerborg with drummer John Guerra before issuing their self-titled debut LP in fall 1999. Suburban Blight appeared two years afterward. Personnel changes persisted until bassist Joe Steinbrick and drummer Adam Zuckert locked in the lineup by 2002, finally clearing the way for a third album. Working once more with producer Steve Albini, F-Minus delivered the anxious Wake Up Screaming, released on Epitaph in March 2003.
