Biography
Fake I.D. crafts energetic and rebellious pop-punk tracks centered on striking guitar riffs delivered alongside defiant lyrics. The band first formed in Raynham, MA, as a trio consisting of Brent Mulligan on guitar, John McSweeney on bass, and Sean Mulligan on drums. Over the next three years the three-piece performed numerous shows across Massachusetts and beyond before guitarist Nick Herrick and vocalist Ben Potrykus joined, rounding out Fake I.D.'s complete lineup. In 2001 the group issued the split album Long Ago and Far Away with Going 48 and Carpet Control, which helped build a stronger following.
