Biography
A core group of musicians broke from Zaiko Langa Langa in 1988 under the direction of vocalist Bimi Ombale and drummer Ilo Pablo. Although they failed to claim the original band name, they succeeded in drawing many Zaiko players into their new project. Retaining the established Zaiko rumba approach, the ensemble introduced a synthesizer to enrich the overall sound.
