Biography
Reviving the trailblazing all-female hard rock group Fanny from the 1970s, Fanny Walked the Earth took shape in the 2010s. Founding sisters June and Jean Millington joined forces in 2016 for a live performance that also featured Brie Howard, the musician who had taken part in a June-free configuration of the original band on its last album, Rock & Roll Survivors, issued in 1974. The three performers recognized an immediate rapport during the show and chose to proceed together as Fanny Walked the Earth. They went on to cut a self-titled album that includes appearances by the Bangles, the Runaways, and the Go-Go's, along with additional “all girl” bands. Fanny Walked the Earth reached listeners in March 2018.
