Biography
Farfetched forged an intense hybrid by channeling the most aggressive elements of emo and punk into their distinctive brand of scorching melodies, anchored by a ferocious string section and relentless percussive drive. The original lineup came together in Oil City, PA, in 1997, when guitarists Jon and Steve joined bassist Adam and drummer Greg to form the quartet. From that point onward the group built a devoted following and earned growing respect through their fiercely energetic live shows. After performing multiple gigs at area venues, the members chose to commit their material to tape for the first time. Their debut release, Lost in the Right Direction, emerged in 2000 and preserved the ensemble’s strongest sonic identity. Continued appearances at local clubs helped the band attract an even broader audience.
