Biography
In 1997 the teen-punk outfit Feaze formed in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, when singer-guitarist Kayla Brown, bassist Carrie Singer, and drummer Tonie Sadler—each thirteen at the time—joined forces. Having first assembled through the regional youth program Girlzone, the three soon booked support dates with nearby acts such as Sarge and Poster Children, after which Rick Valentin of the latter group stepped in to produce the band’s debut album, the 1999 LP Morning Wood.
