Biography
Borowski pursued his education in London and at the Cologne Conservatory prior to settling in the United States, where he joined the faculty of the Chicago Musical College to teach violin, composition, and history. He went on to serve as special lecturer in history, form, and musicology at Northwestern University. Borowski also assembled the music holdings at the Newberry Library, prepared the program books for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and wrote criticism for multiple American newspapers, among them the Chicago Sun.
