Biography
Ferroblues, a Spanish blues outfit, came together in 1986 through ex-Ley Seca and los Fanaticos singer/guitarist Fernando Rubio, vocalist Amador Blaya, and local musician Manolo Gómez, who was soon succeeded by keyboardist Carlos Campoy. Bassist Juanjo Rodríguez and drummer Juan Expósito, also known as la Máquina, later joined, enabling the band to cut its debut album Mondongo, issued by Siroco Records in 1994 and containing both original material and renditions of James Brown's "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag" and Freddie King's "Pack It Up." Delivering urban soul, Afro-American blues, and funk, the group resurfaced in 1996 with the locally acclaimed Blind Lizard.
