Biography
Figgy Duff emerged in the mid-1970s under the leadership of Noel Dinn, incorporating rock influences into their traditional folk sound alongside Pamela Morgan, David Panting, Philip Dinn, and Arthur Stoyles. Their debut album, issued by Phonodisc in 1981, bore the band's name. Weather out the Storm, the follow-up effort, came out in 1990. Subsequent releases included After the Tempest in 1991 and Downstream in 1993, though Noel Dinn succumbed to cancer midway through that final year.
