Biography
Mathieu Ranson's time at an art college in Birmingham, England, played no direct role in his entry into music; instead, the distinctive electronica he first produced strictly for personal use drew the interest of Highpoint Lowlife. Fisk Industries became the name under which he put out The Isle of Wight EP in 2003, then issued the 10" "77 and Rising" three years afterward in 2006. Highpoint Lowlife, whose sleeves Ranson also designed, joined forces with the American imprint Mush Records to bring the two-disc set EPs and Rarities to U.S. stores in spring 2007, a release that gathered together much of his earlier output.
