Biography
Born on July 26, 1972, in Monterrey, Mexico, Flavio Raymundo Martínez González performed regularly in local festivals and contests during childhood. While studying administration in his hometown, he recognized that music held his true interest and relocated to Mexico City to pursue it professionally. His initial group, Clase '69, disbanded once he chose to launch a solo path. Carlos Lara and Tino Geiser produced his debut album, issued in 1993. Like numerous other Latin artists of the era, he took acting roles in the telenovelas Agujetas de Color de Rosa and Confidente de Secundaria. Mediterraneo appeared in 1995, and Que Sera de Mi followed the next year. Late in 1998 he settled in Birmingham, England, to record his third album, which reached stores as No Tengas Miedo a Enamorarte in early 1999.
