Flutter

Originating in Michigan, the teenage noise outfit Flutter coalesced around Tim Westfall, Jeff Nauta, Brinton Jones and Drew Avery. Local shows throughout their Grand Rapids base took place at suburban malls and the municipal zoo, where audiences of bewildered adolescents and unsettled animals bore witness to the performances prior to the completion of a 60-minute demo tape. The group also contributed to the 1997 E+J compilation Elsie and Jack with Chair.
