Biography
Emerging from Manchester, the post-punk group Foreign Press enjoyed only a brief run, issuing its sophomore single Behind the Glass on the city’s Streets Ahead label in 1979. Comparisons to Joy Division appeared frequently in reviews, so it followed logically that Rob Gretton—Joy Division’s manager—produced the record.
