FOXTRAP

Hailing from Liverpool in the United Kingdom, the alternative and electronica group Foxtrap distinguishes itself through calming, otherworldly, and immersive sounds, evident in their 2014 compositions "Kontrol" and "Silent Deep." The ensemble consists of vocalist Helen Morrisson, producer Jev Maligins, and percussionist Vadim Sidoroff. Their initial foray into the music world came via the Boxes EP, issued in 2014 while operating as Baltic States. This project drew considerable industry notice due to its diverse fusion of techno, house, ambient, and trip-hop elements. Over the subsequent period, the three members embarked on European tours to showcase their work, securing notable synchronization licenses for television shows in both Europe and North America. Following roughly three years of extensive travel and additional creative endeavors, the group emerged anew in the beginning of 2017 under the Foxtrap name, unveiling their follow-up EP titled Brother. This release honors Morrisson's sibling, who had died some time before. Under their updated identity, they issued anew many of the tracks originally from Baltic States. Throughout 2017 and 2018, they focused on crafting their first full-length album while continuing to perform live.
