Biography
Francis Davis earned recognition as one of the sharpest jazz critics active throughout the 1980s and 90s. His bylines appeared regularly in the Village Voice, Stereo Review and the Philadelphia Inquirer, and he also held the post of contributing editor at The Atlantic Monthly. Four books stand to his credit so far: In the Moment, Outcats, The History of the Blues and Bebop and Nothingness.
