Biography
After completing his studies at the Berklee College of Music in 1972, jazz guitarist Frank Potenza launched a busy professional path involving instruction, live shows, and studio work across subsequent decades. As a student of Joe Pass, he performed alongside notable artists such as Dizzy Gillespie, George Van Eps, Mose Allison, and Joe Sample. Starting in 1986, he issued his own recordings on Los Angeles-based TBA Records, which included Sand Dance that year, followed by Soft and Warm in 1987, When We're Alone in 1988, and Express Delivery in 1990. His next solo effort arrived in 1999 with In My Dreams on Azica Records. During that period, he held a teaching position at USC while fitting in performances around his schedule.
