Biography
Following the contentious dissolution of the Jesus & Mary Chain in 1998, vocalist and guitarist Jim Reid assembled Freeheat together with guitarist Ben Lurie from the Mary Chain and two former Gun Club members—bassist Romi Mori and drummer Nick Saunderson, who had also fronted Earl Brutus. Continuing in much the same musical direction as the J&MC, the band issued its debut release, the EP Don't Worry, Be Happy, on Hall of Records in late 2000.
