Biography

East Bay Ray, the guitarist once tied to the Dead Kennedys’ politically charged punk, fused quirky jazz, 60's R & B and lounge into the signature sound of Frenchy. Dionysus Records launched the group’s debut album Bumps and Grinds in 1996, pairing clarinet, bass, drums and marimba with lyrics centered on love, crime and barbecues. The same imprint followed with their next release, Che's Lounge, in 1997.
